Essential trim gives you more paint choices, front fog lights and inscribed roof bars, but you'll need to upgrade another level - to Comfort trim - if you want the 16-inch alloy wheels and metallic front and rear skid plates that make the Duster look really smart. With the previous Duster, interior quality was one of the biggest sacrifices you had to make for such a low price tag.
