Description
What can be said about this fabulous unique Jaguar E Type V12 2+2. Only around 2,000 right hand drive 2+2s were built with less than half of that number being fitted with the manual transmission. This car is what Jaguar should have done and probably would except that nearly all their production went to the USA where the stringent emission laws kept the car (and many other UK classics) from being developed to their full potential.An enormous expense has been spent on converting the super smooth but underdeveloped V12 to 6 x double Weber downdraft carburettors. Not only does the car start and perform much much better but the overall appearance under the bonnet is so much tidier and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. As mentioned, a small fortune has been spent on the car including but not limited to the engine being rebuilt as well as the rear subframe etc being removed and all the components such as brakes etc renewed or replaced. The radiator has been replaced with a stainless-steel unit and the cooling fans have been upgraded. We have receipts for well over £45k being lavished on the car in recent years to make it the car the previous owner wanted.Finished in British Racing Green with Tan leather interior (which has also been replaced) the body and the paint are what we consider to be in superb condition.Sitting on a set of original Chrome Steel wheels which are in fabulous condition, the front suspension and power steering have also been rebuilt.
