Description
2005 Jaguar XK8 4.2 Coupe Automatic. Midnight Black metallic with Dove Grey leather upholstery and a Grey Birdseye Maple dashboard. This lovely Jaguar was one of the last of this model produced and has a lovely specification to include Type R sports seats, Brembo brakes and performance discs, 20 Detroit split rim BBS alloy wheels and stainless steel embellishments. The Jaguar XK series was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show on 5th March 1996. The first generation of the series, the XK8, replaced the XJS and was available as a coup and convertible. The XK8 was the first eight-cylinder vehicle produced since the Daimler 250. This face-lift example of the popular X100 series XK8 Coupe is finished beautifully. Under that shapely nose we find the much-improved (over the earlier 4.0 engine) 4.2 litre AJ34 V8 engine which develops 300bhp and a useful 420NM of torque driving the rear wheels via six-speed ZF 6HP26 automatic transmission with Sport mode. Inside the cockpit, we find the traditional warmth of the XK8, which was likened by Clarkson at launch to the inside of Blenheim Palace with electrically adjustable leather seats featuring driver memory, electric lumbar adjustment, walnut trim, traction control, automatic lights, half-timbered multi-function steering wheel, heated seats, automatic climate control with AC and valet mode. Supplied new on 4th April 2005 by Minster Jaguar of Bristol to Mr Fox this beautiful big cat is a great car that has come to us from a valued customer who has enjoyed using this car at weekends and visiting various classic car shows. The car comes with a comprehensive history file containing the original dealer wallet with owners manuals and the all important service book which contains no less than 14 stamps from main dealers and Jaguar specialists.
