This was a well know weak spot of this model and to do the job properly its an expensive excercise ( see below ) the engine was completely stripped down by well regarded Porsche specialist Pie Porsche engineers and sent to hartech for a full closed deck 6 x new bores and pistons rebuild , New upgraded ims bearings and guides , Also a full cylinder head skim and rebuild with new cam chains ,Valves , Guides etc just 3200 miles since work completed. Including Parts listed below , Main bearing shells, Thrust race, Conrod bearings, Cam Chains, IMS Chains, IMS Bearing and tube, IMS Chain guide, IMS Chain Blade, Chain Guide Four, New valves and guides , Drive Belt, Exhaust fitting kit, Chain Tensioner x 3 , Exhaust rebuild inc new clamping sleeves stainless nuts etc , Miller oil 10w Engine oil, Oil Filter, Engine gasket set porsche, New manifold exhaust gaskets, 6x Spark Plugs, anti freeze coolant 1ltr , New pas fluid pentosin. Other recent works in the last 3,000 miles include new Ac condensers x 2, low temp thermostat, New coolant pipes and over engine brake pipes, full auto gearbox service to include new filters and oil change , 4 X Wheels refurbished with matching Bridgestone tyres.
